Entertainment Law & Talent Management

Athletes, presenters and creators are media businesses in their own right, yet the agreements governing their appearances, their content and their likeness are frequently drafted by the other side. We cover commercial rights packaging, agency and representation mandates, activations, advertising and influencer compliance, talent and ambassador agreements, image and likeness licensing, and content, format, documentary and life story rights.

Dispute Resolution

Having represented India's top athletes, like Sushil Kumar, and some of the leading corporates in the business before various high courts and arbitration tribunals, we work with our clients to device litigation strategies and engage with some of the leading counsels in cities across India.

League Formulation and Risk Management

We have contributed to the setup of, and worked with, leagues at international, national and state level, in several cases building them start to finish. The work covers ownership and governance structuring, federation sanction, franchise agreements, competition regulations and player draft rules, alongside event risk, insurance placement, liability allocation, spectator and athlete safety, and safeguarding.

Media & Broadcasting

Media rights are the largest single line in most sports businesses and the one most exposed to piracy. We structure and tender rights by territory, platform and language, negotiate broadcast, streaming, sub-licence, host broadcast and production agreements, and run anti-piracy programmes including dynamic and John Doe injunctions.

Intellectual Property

We advise our clients on the management of numerous intellectual property rights including brand & image rights, personality rights along with assisting them in filing applications for trademark, copyright, patent registrations and defend against breaches or infringements of such rights.

Technology & Data Privacy

Sport runs on software: officiating, ticketing, wearables, performance analytics and fan platforms. We negotiate software, SaaS and technology procurement contracts with attention to who owns the resulting data and who carries the risk when a system fails mid-event, and we run data protection compliance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the Rules notified in November 2025, including children's and athlete health data.
