Gaming Lawyer India

India’s gaming law changed completely between August 2025 and May 2026. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 prohibits online money games nationally, the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules 2026 were notified on 22 April 2026 and came into force on 1 May 2026, and on 27 May 2026 the Supreme Court removed the skill versus chance argument from both the constitutional and the tax debate. Advice written before those dates should not be relied on.
